What is GPSR
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), effective from December 13, 2024, ensures all non-food consumer products sold in the EU meet strict safety standards.
E-commerce stores must:
- Ensure products comply with EU safety rules.
- Provide clear safety information in local languages.
- Appoint a responsible person for product compliance.
- Use unique identifiers for product traceability.
- Monitor and address unsafe products on their platforms.
Compliance is legally required to protect consumers, build trust, and avoid fines or product removal.
